In this exciting hybrid field trip, Academy students will have the opportunity to attend an online course before their visit to the beautiful Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, CA.  This field trip may serve as an introductory course for lower-grade students or may serve to support an elective credit for upper-grade students.

2-part Field Trip Schedule:

Pre-Field Trip Online Class

 Students will attend the pre-field trip online class, which will prepare them for their upcoming visit to the museum. This 75-minute class will teach important museum decorum, the museum's unique history, give a virtual map tour, current exhibits showing at the museum, and what students can expect while on the field trip. This is an important class that prepares students to be lifelong museum patrons.

Museum Field Trip

The Crocker Art Museum is a unique collection of modern and classical art pieces set in two distinct buildings. It offers students the opportunity to experience art genres at their finest.   The museum has innovative interactions with three floors and 15 unique gallery spaces to explore and discover a diverse collection of art that spans centuries, continents, and cultures. There is always something surprising to find at the Crocker!

Enrolled students will meet at the front of the museum to sign in and receive their packets. We will enter as a group. A museum docent will lead the group on a tour. 

Parent information will be sent to enrolled families 2 weeks before the event date. ​
